Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using the ReVal website and services ("Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our Services.

ReVal reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of our Services after any changes indicates your acceptance of the modified Terms.

2. Description of Services

ReVal provides a phone buyback service and a free eWaste recycling program. Our Services include:

2.1 Phone Buyback

  • Online device appraisal and quote generation
  • Free shipping labels for device submission
  • Device inspection and verification
  • Payment processing for accepted devices

2.2 Free eWaste Recycling

  • Free recycling of electronics including phones, tablets, laptops, smart watches, and other devices
  • Free prepaid shipping labels for recycling submissions
  • Secure data wiping of all submitted devices
  • Responsible and certified recycling of electronic components

The eWaste recycling program is provided at no cost to the user. ReVal reserves the right to determine the appropriate processing method for all recycled devices, including component recovery, materials recycling, or any other lawful disposition.

3. Eligibility

To use our Services, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Be the legal owner of any device you submit for sale
  • Have the legal right to sell the device
  • Provide accurate and truthful information about yourself and your device

4. Device Submission and Ownership

4.1 Ownership Guarantee

By submitting a device to ReVal for buyback or recycling, you represent and warrant that:

  • You are the sole legal owner of the device
  • The device is not stolen, lost, or subject to any claims or liens
  • The device is not under any carrier financing agreement or lease
  • You have removed all personal data and signed out of all accounts

4.2 Transfer of Ownership

IMPORTANT: By shipping your device to ReVal, whether for buyback or recycling, you are irrevocably transferring all ownership rights to ReVal upon receipt. Once a device is received by ReVal, it cannot be returned under any circumstances.

4.3 Device Preparation

Before shipping your device for buyback or recycling, you must:

  • Perform a factory reset
  • Sign out of all accounts (iCloud, Google, Samsung, etc.)
  • Disable Find My iPhone/Device or any activation locks
  • Remove SIM cards and memory cards
  • Remove cases and accessories

5. Pricing and Payment

5.1 Conditional Offers

All quotes provided through our website are conditional estimates based on the information you provide. The final offer may be adjusted based on our physical inspection of the device.

5.2 Price Adjustments

ReVal reserves the right to adjust the offer if:

  • The device condition differs from what was described
  • The device has undisclosed damage or defects
  • The device has an activation lock or is reported lost/stolen
  • The device model or specifications differ from what was stated

5.3 Payment Processing

Upon acceptance of the final offer:

  • Payment will be processed within 24 hours of inspection approval
  • Payment will be sent via your chosen method (PayPal or Cash App)
  • You are responsible for providing accurate payment information

6. eWaste Recycling Program

6.1 No Payment for Recycled Devices

Devices submitted through the eWaste recycling program are accepted for free recycling only. No payment or compensation will be provided for recycled devices. If your device has monetary value, we recommend using our buyback service instead.

6.2 Processing of Recycled Devices

ReVal reserves sole discretion over the processing of recycled devices. This may include certified materials recycling, component recovery, responsible disposal, or any other lawful method of processing. By submitting a device for recycling, you agree that ReVal may process the device in any manner it deems appropriate.

6.3 Data Wipe Responsibility

While ReVal performs a secure data wipe on all received devices, you are required to factory reset your device and sign out of all accounts before shipping. ReVal is not responsible for any personal data remaining on devices that were not properly wiped by the user prior to submission.

6.4 Accepted Devices

The recycling program accepts all consumer electronics including but not limited to phones, tablets, laptops, computers, smart watches, headphones, chargers, cables, cameras, GPS devices, and game consoles. ReVal reserves the right to refuse any device at its discretion.

7. Shipping

ReVal provides prepaid shipping labels for all accepted buyback quotes and recycling submissions. You are responsible for:

  • Properly packaging the device to prevent damage during transit
  • Dropping off the package at a UPS location within 3 days of receiving the label
  • Any damage that occurs due to improper packaging

8. Inspection and Processing

Upon receiving your device, ReVal will:

  • Inspect the device within 1-2 business days
  • Verify the device condition and specifications
  • Confirm or adjust the offer based on inspection findings
  • Notify you of any price adjustments via email

9. Prohibited Devices

ReVal will not accept devices that:

  • Are reported as stolen or lost
  • Have active activation locks (Find My iPhone/Device)
  • Are government or military property
  • Are under active carrier financing
  • Have been tampered with or contain counterfeit parts

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, REVAL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

ReVal's total liability shall not exceed the amount paid to you for your device.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ReVal and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your misrepresentation of device ownership or condition
  • Any third-party claims related to devices you submit

12. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or our Services shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall take place in Ohio, USA.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Ohio, United States.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

16. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and ReVal regarding the use of our Services and supersede any prior agreements.
